Elderly man rushed to hospital after fall from roof

AN elderly man who fell from a Torquay roof was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to assist the 70-year-old man just after noon at a Banks Crt home.

It is not known how high the roof was.

The man was treated for back pain.

He was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
