Emergency Alert issued for Jambin due to dam release

BANANA Shire Council has issued an emergency alert for Jambin residents advising of a continued dam release at Callide Dam

While the release is currently equal to the inflows, Jambin residents should still expect to be affected.

Police are doorknocking Jambin township and asking residents to be aware of water levels and be ready to act. 

The Jambin School is available for shelter if required.

Residents should contact their neighbours if they have concern for their safety as well.

They should also listen to 94.9FM radio for information.
