Emergency crews in action during mock rescue at Point Vernon
A CAR has crashed down a ditch on the side of a road and bodies have been found nearby.
Emergency crews from the Hervey Bay region put this scenario into action during a vertical rescue training session at Point Vernon on Friday morning.
The scenario was chosen due to the geography of the region and lack of high cliffs.
Queensland Fire and Rescue, ambulance crews and a State Emergency Service volunteer from the Hervey Bay region were involved in the hands on training exercise.
