Man cut from wreckage after crash

EMERGENCY crews worked to free a man from his car yesterday after he was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Hervey Bay.

The accident happened on the corner of Tavistock and Exeter streets in Torquay about 3.20pm.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash but it is believed a sedan went through the intersection in front of another vehicle.

The vehicle believed to be at fault then crashed into a council truck parked on the side of the road.

Exeter Street was closed for 15 minutes.

A 33-year-old man was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital for observation.

No charges have been laid.
