Bay adult store employee fined over synthetic drug

A SEARCH warrant uncovered a clip-seal bag of synthetic cannabis at a Hervey Bay adult store.

Store employee Anne Lorraine Corby pleaded guilty in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court to possessing dangerous drugs.

On November 8, police found the small bag at True Confessions Adult store in Pialba.

The court heard the substance was previously legal until a ban was enforced last year.

Magistrate Graeme Tatnell acknowledged Corby had forgotten about the bag and that it was previously legal.

He fined her $250.

However that fine is suspended on the condition Corby doesn't commit another offence for six months.
