English coach delighted with new Super League recruit Walsh

ST HELENS coach Nathan Brown has expressed his delight at snaring Panthers halfback Luke Walsh from next season, saying he is a good organiser with a great kicking game.

The 26-year-old agreed to a two-year contract with the English Super League club, and has the option to extend for another year.

Walsh, with 107 games in the NRL for the Knights and Panthers, has impressed this season, notably kicking 11 goals in his team's 62-6 thumping against New Zealand in round 10.

The St Helens outfit has been decimated by a halfback's injury curse in 2013, with Lance Hohaia and Gary Wheeler both spending time on the sidelines.
