Enjoy a nice cuppa soup in a handcrafted bowl for charity

WARM your bones this winter with some scrumptious homemade soup at the Annual Soup Night in Maryborough.

From your classic pea and ham to the more exotic Spanish chocolate, Bottlebrush Craft Centre's quirky event features flavours from all over the world.

What's more, you get to keep your handcrafted soup bowl at the end of the night.

"It's a social night - you can have a wine, a chat, enjoy the entertainment," president Audrey Reece said.

"It's our winter fundraising event. All money raised goes to a local charity."

Ms Reece said the soup night had been running for 20 years and was always well supported.

"It's kind of like an international soup night - some of our members go to quite some trouble to make something different," she said.

"The soup bowls are all handmade at Bottlebrush Crafts and you take that home with you."

The soup night will be held at Bottlebrush Craft Centre, 30 Ferry St, from 6pm on June 27.

The cost is $15.

To attend the night, RSVP by phoning 4122 2533 or 4123 5216.
