Enjoy good food and company at Live Aloners Luncheon

WANT to make some new friends and enjoy a three-course, home-cooked meal?

The Uniting Church parishioners are holding their bi-annual Live Aloners Luncheon.

Parishioner Carolyn Hansen said it was an opportunity to serve the community.

"Often the elderly don't have the transport to catch up with friends," Mrs Hansen said.

"It's a good way for everyone to meet new people and make friends."

Mrs Hansen said there was a lot of planning for the day and there was always a guest speaker.

"We try to provide a great afternoon for those that attend," she said.

"It gives us great satisfaction to see everyone enjoying themselves."

The function will be held at St Stephen's Uniting Church, Wesley Auditorium, Sussex St, Maryborough, on November 29 with doors opening 11.30am for noon.

The cost is $15 and bookings should be made with Mrs Hansen on 4121 4894 by November 21.
