Bryce Hunt stamps name in business

BRYCE Hunt just might be Hervey Bay’s youngest entrepreneur.

The Hervey Bay High School student, who is 15, started up his own business in September.

The idea for his business, which is called Modern Print, came to him when he googled “printing” while he and his parents were looking to buy a new printer.

Several business card companies came up in the search and he noticed that prices for business cards were quite expensive – up to $150 for 1000 cards – and he decided there might be a business opportunity in the offing.

His parents were a bit sceptical at first and didn’t know how the business would go but Bryce was determined to give the business a try and in September he started a website that people could visit to order business cards at the price of $70 for 1000 cards.

Bryce had been looking for employment that would fit in around his school work.

While he is on school holidays Bryce is working full-time however when he goes back to school, he will only be able to work from 3pm to 9pm and during the weekends. Already he has plenty of businesses expressing interest and he has already filled several orders.

He isn’t just offering business cards in his service – he also does stationery, window decals, magnets, calendars, T-shirts, pens and brochures.

“It’s all done over the internet,” Bryce, who delivers the items himself, said.
