Ergon Energy: power will return to homes on Monday afternoon

ERGON Energy has had its staff working hard to restore power to households in the Fraser Coast that are still without electricity.

The company aims to have power restored to 508 Pialba customers, who are still without electricity, by Monday afternoon.

Ergon said homes in Howard and the Gootchie area, outside of Bauple, should also have power again by Monday afternoon.

The electricity provider said it would have power restored to 95% of customers affected by ex-tropical cyclone Oswald across Wide Bay and Burnett, where it  was safe to reconnect, by Wednesday.

About 12,000 customers across the Wide Bay region were without supply on Sunday night due to the weather.
