Evacuation underway at Stockland in Rockhampton

UPDATE 9PM: There has been no explosion at Stockland five minutes after a caller said the bomb was due to go off. 

Police are currently sweeping the carpark looking for anything suspicious and taking all precautionary measures to ensure safety.

The area from Moores Creek through to Mandalay Medical Centre is cordoned off and no cars are being permitted into the complex.

UPDATE 8:34PM:  The shopping centre has been completely evacuated, emergency services are on the scene.  Police are trying to locate the caller.

JB HI FI at Stockland Rockhampton is being evacuated after an anonymous caller claimed to have placed a bomb in the store to go off at 8.55pm.

Police are on their way to the shopping centre to prepare for an evacuation of the whole complex. 

No-one is permitted to enter the shopping centre.
