Co-Ordinated Interiors to close
BARGAIN hunters are expected to flock to Pialba's Co-Ordinated Interiors today to take advantage of the closing-down sale where everything that can be moved will be sold.
Landlord Ruth White, who used to run the business with her husband Terry before selling it to an employee six years ago, said all stock, fittings and fixtures would be sold.
“When I sold it, we had nine shop assistants and 10 seamstresses,” she said.
“It's sad because it's nearly 28 years since I started.”
A sign on the door of the shop told customers that due to the economic circumstances, it had been closed.
“We are still operating our custom interiors division and endeavouring to complete all work in progress as soon as possible,” the sign said.
Ms White said the operator had found it very tough in the past 18 months and unfortunately she had not been able to carry on.
Today Ms White will be selling what remains in the store, including window coverings, fabric, linen and decor items, and said anything left would be donated to charities.
She said she wanted to clear the store so it could be leased again.
