Expect more burn-offs in the coming days, fireys advise

QUEENSLAND Parks and Wildlife Service performed a hazard reduction burn in Tinana on Tuesday as one of 113 planned burns conducted across the North Coast in the past fortnight.

Rural Fire officers assisted QPWS on the burns as Queensland Fire and Rescue warned Fraser Coast residents the burns were expected to continue in coming days.

The burns are performed each year to reduce potential fuel for bushfires and grassfires.
