Female pair holding vodka bottle bash teen in Scarness

POLICE are hunting for two women who viciously assaulted a teenager as she walked through Scarness on Friday night.

The 19-year-old woman was walking along Torquay Rd, near Zephyr St, when she was approached by the pair who demanded cigarettes from her.

When she refused, they attempted to grab her bag and so she began to run, but dropped her phone as she went.

The strangers picked up the phone, and when the teenager asked for it back they pulled her by the hair and repeatedly punched her in the face.

She broke free and ran to the nearby ambulance station before being taken to hospital.

A description of her attackers has been given to police.

The first one was Caucasian, about 165cm tall, with average build and light brown hair.

She was wearing a grey singlet and denim shorts and carrying a white bag with brown stripes. She was also holding an open bottle of vodka.

The second woman was blonde, about the same height, average build and had a number of facial piercings.

Anyone who knows these people should contact police or Crime Stoppers.
