Find plenty of bargains at marina and help charity
RAISING money for not-for-profit organisations, such as the Hervey Bay State Emergency Service, is high on the list of priorities for the Marina Market team this year.
Due to illness and the Christmas period, the team took a few months off, but organiser Liz Meyer says tonight's market would be one of their best yet, with every stall site booked up.
"We have done a new site plan and if everyone turns up we will be full, we won't have one spare spot," she said.
"We've got quite a variety of different stall holders to what we had had before.
"It's going to be great."
The $10 stall holder's site fee charged at last year's market was donated in the form of Mitre 10 gift vouchers to the SES - a service close to the community's heart, Mrs Meyer said.
"We donated $500 worth of gift cards to our local SES, putting something back into the community," she said.
"The SES is there for everybody and helps everybody and we picked them because we felt it would benefit everybody in the community."
The markets will be held in and around the Urangan Marina, in front of the big whale, in the car park and in front of Harvey's Bar and Bistro.
The local army cadets will host a sausage sizzle from 5pm.
