Member Dave McLeod said the were busy preparing for the event on on September 28 to 30 in the Brolga Theatre.

"Last Friday publicity officer Celia Watson was delighted to receive a donation of 200 lanyards from the Maryborough Agency of the Bendigo Bank,” he said.

"Adeline Russell from the bank presented Celia with the lanyards, on behalf of Tim Evans the manager of the agency at 128 Richmond St.”

The event was being organised under the auspices of the Australian National Choral Association.

"Queensland conductor and performer Emma Dean will lead the workshops which will finish with a concert in the Brolga Theatre on the Sunday afternoon at 2pm.

"Participating choirs will perform at the concert as well as a massed choir performing the pieces learned over the weekend.

"These concerts are a feast of wonderful choral music and they have proved popular with the general public in the past.”
