Fins complete our Big Whale

HERVEY Bay's answer to the Big Pineapple and the Big Banana, Nala the Big Whale, is now complete.

The 22-tonne wood and stainless steel sculpture was recently kitted out with fins, marking the final stage of her construction at the new cultural centre site, on Main St and Old Maryborough Rd.

Nala was named after a real humpback who has returned to the Bay every year since 1992.
