Fire bugs target park causing thousands of dollars in damage

VANDALS have caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a park near Maryborough over the weekend.

Police are calling for anyone who might have seen vandals as they set fire to a shade cover over Jack Mason Park in Geebung Crt in Tinana on Friday night.

The Fraser Coast Regional Council estimates that it will cost about $5,000 to replace the shade sail and two swing seats.
