Fire causes smoke hazard near Craignish

A LARGE smoke haze is blanketing the Craignish area after a bushfire broke out near Castles Road North and Castles Road South.

Firefighters are on the scene and are conducting back-burning operations to strengthen containment lines.

The fire is contained and no property is at threat.

Residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep medication on hand if suffering a medical condition.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive to conditions as smoke may affect visibility on the road.
