Fire continues to burn in Burrum Heads

RURAL Fire Service Queensland crews remain on scene at a bushfire in forestry land in the vicinity of Rosebay Dr, Burrum Heads.

The fire broke out about 12.45pm yesterday and is burning within 1,000ha of bushland.

There is no threat to property, however residents in Buxton will be affected by smoke. 

Residents with respiratory illness are asked to close windows and doors and keep medications close by.

Motorists using The Yachtsmans Drive should be mindful of burnt fallen trees on the road.
