Firies called to crash at Maryborough intersection

TWO people were taken to the Maryborough Hospital on Thursday night after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Neptune and Woodstock Sts.

Maryborough Fire Station's Dennis Parmenter said the two-vehicle accident happened just before 6pm.

The motorists suffered minor injuries.

About an hour later, Mr Parmenter said the crew was called out to what turned out to be a false alarm on Walker St.

"A man thought he could see a fire inside a house next door," he said.

"It turned out to be a new type of ethanol burner."
