Fraser Coast council allocates $1 million to Howard drainage

A PLAN to prioritise future drainage works in Howard was endorsed by the Fraser Coast Regional Council at its meeting on Wednesday.

The council has allocated $1 million for drainage works spread over the 2018/19 and 2019/20 financial years.

Under the plan the council will improve the capacity of underground drainage along higher order roads and the CBD and systematically improve the efficiency of the town's drainage system.

The council are also working on a funding application to the State Government for sewerage in the town.
