Flood-affected clubs urged to apply for recovery funds

FLOOD damaged Fraser Coast sporting clubs will be able to access part of a $1 million fund to help them get back on their feet.

Sport and Recreation Minister Steve Dickson said the funding would be vital in assisting damaged sporting and community clubs throughout the state to rebuild.

Mr Dickson said clubs would be eligible for grants of up to $25,000 under the Sport and Recreation Disaster Recovery Program to replace much needed equipment and repair clubhouses and grounds.

Application forms are available from Sport and Recreation Service Centres, at nprsr.qld.gov.au or by phoning 1300 656 191 for assistance.

Applications will remain open until Friday May 10.
