Fraser Island drivers warned of deep holes on beach track

HOLIDAY-makers driving on Fraser Island have been warned of deep holes containing seawater forming in the beach track between the Waddy Point camping ground and the beach.

The Department of National Parks advised drivers to avoid vehicle damage by using the inland track from Waddy Point to Orchid Beach.

Roads north of Middle Rocks are currently not suitable for low-clearance vehicles.

With road conditions all over the island able to change by the day, drivers are advised to remain alert at all times and drive to the conditions.
