Fraser Island footy injury calls out CareFlight
A 39-YEAR-old man who injured himself during a friendly game of beach football has been airlifted from Fraser Island by RACQ CareFlight Rescue.
The Sunshine Coast man had spent the afternoon playing the game with a group of friends when he took a dive and landed incorrectly, injuring his shoulder.
The Bundaberg-based RACQ CareFlight landed at Orchid Beach where its intensive care flight paramedic treated the man's injury.
He was flown to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
