FRASER PROUD: Solar in the heart of the Bay

SUSTAINABILITY experts Donna Michel and Alison Charpentier are proud new Fraser Coast residents who operate a home-based business, Higher Power Solar, from their residence in Eli Waters.

In line with an environmental ethos they see no need for a shop front and instead travel across the Fraser Coast providing a unique advisory service to customers.

Alison focuses on organics and the health food industry while Donna specialises on hybrid technology in the solar industry.

And this is just the start.

Their consultancy service not only aids customers to save the environment but also to save money, by selling power back to the energy companies.

Recently relocated from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, these new business owners are spreading the Fraser Proud message wherever they go.

"We chose Hervey Bay because we love nature and the beach," Ms Charpentier said.

"It's a wonderful place with perfect lifestyle. We can work from home then go out on site."

Consulting on their first large scale commercial job is just a start.

These two women in solar are passionate about the environment and want customers to know that they don't only sell a product, they provide a complete personalised service.

Ms Charpentier wants people to know that High Power Solar is the complete package, offering a comprehensive service.

"Most solar companies only sell you their product but we provide customer service and after sales care.

"We have some wonderful battery storage products and we can show customers how they can make money from them."

With big ideals, these Fraser Proud sustainability experts don't need bricks and mortar or a facade in their mission to forge ahead with their message of making the Fraser Coast a leading region in sustainability.
