Fresh, fit, Brothers ready to go
LEAGUE: Past Brothers will fight fire with fire when they take on Wallaroos tonight.
The sides begins their finals campaign in the Bundaberg Rugby League major semi-final at Salter Oval.
The winner takes on Hervey Bay in Bundaberg next week for a spot in the grand final.
Past Brothers know they face a challenge with the Roos line-up featuring leading try-scorer and BRL player of the year Shaun Collins.
Collins has scored 29 tries, 10 more than any other player this season so far.
"We'll have to work hard on the inside to stop him,” Brother coach Brent Kuskey said.
"But if we worry about him though we need to worry about everyone else.
"We won't underestimate them.”
But Kuskey believes the side can fight the Roos with its own strike power, including Quentin Olive.
"I don't understand how he didn't get player of the year, he's been the best player all year,” he said.
"When Quentin is talking and setting up plays around him that is when we are at our best.”
Kuskey said the side is virtually at full strength ahead of the clash.
"At our best we can beat anyone,” he said.
"Our focus will on our defence and holding the Roos out.”
Tonight's match gets underway at 6.30pm.
