New Year's Eve set to be a big one

NEW YEAR'S Eve for 2010 is shaping up to be a bonza night for revellers on the Fraser Coast.

On the events calendar so far is a masquerade party, twilight markets and bush party.

The Masquerade Party at Maryborough's Brolga Theatre in Walker Street includes a banquet supper, prizes for the best mask and entertainment by The Shimmer Band and It's Magic with John Sharp.

Family fun at the Harbour View Twilight Markets at the Urangan Marina Complex, Hervey Bay, includes a jumping castle and merry-go-round as well as clairvoyant and tarot card reader, artist and writer, loads of different crafts, candles, plants, illuminated products, honey and honey products, bush products and more.

Revellers can also head to the Burrum District Community Centre, Howard, for entertainment by Tony Worsley and Mal Clarke plus the Bush, Boot and Belly Show.

To book for these privately organised events contact the co-ordinators at www.brolgatheatre.org, (email) tgemporium@yahoo.com.au and www.bdcchoward.org.au respectively.

The Fraser Coast Regional Council could not confirm yesterday if it would be organising community events for Hervey Bay and Maryborough.
