Fun family event making dreams come true
START December in the spirit of Christmas by attending an exclusive viewing of an animated movie to support Make-A-Wish Australia.
Make-A-Wish Australia grants wishes to seriously ill children across the country.
Also up for grabs is a plethora of prizes, including vouchers for a two-hour horse ride, a $200 gift hamper, tenpin bowling vouchers and more.
RE/MAX Partners Hervey Bay sales associate Raelene Box said RE/MAX Partners Australia was a major sponsor of the charity.
"RE/MAX have been supporting Make-A-Wish for about eight years, but this is our first," she said.
"We're hoping to raise maybe $500-plus.
"If we sell the 50 (tickets) which we're very close to already, that's $250 profit."
Mrs Box said she and administrative assistant Margie Bergman would dress up for the event and encouraged children attending to dress up for a chance to win a prize.
"We're having a fancy dress for the children and we'll have a boy prize and a girl prize," she said.
Ms Bergman said Big Screen Hervey Bay will play The Star, exclusively for the event.
"It's a story about the first Christmas and a little donkey called Bo," she said.
"It's a fun family event, it's an animated kids movie and it's all about Make-A-Wish and making dreams come true."
The fundraiser is on Sunday, December 3.
Tickets cost $15 from RE/MAX Partners Hervey Bay, 381 Charlton Esplanade, Torquay, or on the day of the event while tickets last.
