Fundraising activities already planned for Relay for Life

THIS year's Relay for Life was only last month but passionate fundraisers on the Fraser Coast already have fundraising activities coming up shortly, to contribute to next year's event.

Luke Strochnetter has a giant event organised for February 25.

"It'll be a family fun day on Seafront Oval with 50 market stalls, live music, horse and carriage rides, rides, a petting farm, a Hervey Bay dry boat race, dance displays, food vendors and much more," he said.

"The event is being sponsored by the Hervey Bay RSL."

Monique Bailey, 8, is hosting an event on New Years Day. It will be a sandcastle building competition at Scarness Beach.

Money raised from these and other upcoming Relay for Life events goes to the Cancer Council.

Registrations for the 2017 Relay for Life event are open now at relayforlife.org.au.

Early bird registrations are $20 per person and end 12 weeks out from the event.
