Funds are secured to rebuild Netherby Road

NETHERBY Rd, located just south of Gundiah, will be upgraded thanks to a $740,000 Betterment funding grant.

The fund was announced by the Federal Minister for Justice Michael Keenan and Queensland Deputy Premier Jackie Trad announced the funding.

"Fraser Coast Regional Council has secured funding to construct a new eight-metre-wide floodway with increased protection from future natural disasters," Minister Keenan said.

"This funding will allow Council to build a stronger, more resilient floodway, ensuring the Gundiah community stays connected to critical services following flooding events."

Also known as Old Gympie Rd, Netherby Rd connects the communities of Gundiah and Tiaro, south-west of Maryborough in the Fraser Coast region.
