Hauritz faces test in Adelaide
FORMER Hervey Bay cricketer Nathan Hauritz and his Australian team-mates will face a big test in South Australia today.
The West Indies will ensure that on the final day of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval.
Australia, who lead the series 1-0, will have it all to do to save the game let alone win it after the West Indies strong performance with the bat yesterday.
Chasing scores of over 200 in the fourth innings is not something the Aussies are good at.
Since 2000, they have lost seven of 12 Tests they’ve played chasing a total in excess of 200.
The highest they chased and won during this period was the 331 against South Africa at Capetown.
Yesterday West Indies advanced from their overnight 0-23 to 8-284, a lead on 296 over Australia with one day’s play remaining.
