Gee overcomes tough conditions for solid round

CONDITIONS must have been tough on Saturday with only one player recording a score in the forties.

B Grader Doug Gee was recorded 40 points and he won by 4 shots from Rob Mugford.

A count back was needed to separate the winners in the other grades with the lucky players being Ian Wood over Lachie Hancock in A Grade with 38 points and Ross Higgins over Kev Pollock in C Grade with 39 points.

Lachie Hancock's score was a subpar round of 69. Well done Lachie.

In the ladies division Pam Robinson shot a great score of 40 points to take out the Liz Blake trophy from Karen Delpopolo on 39 points.

Sunday's Medley was only a small affair with Tim Ashford taking it out with 38 points from junior golfer Byron Behrendt on 37.

The timesheet is already out for the Prostate Cancer Awareness Charity Golf Day to be held on Sunday mAY 21.

This popular Ambrose day has already attracted 23 sponsored teams so you will need to get in early to avoid disappointment.

There will be 2 shot gun starts with the first at 6.30am and the latter at 11.45am.

This weekend both men and ladies will be playing for their respective Monthly Medals and Sunday is the Ladies Maryborough Open.

There will be enough room for men to play a comp on Sunday also and it will start from 11.30am.
