George's vision gets a new Vue

GEORGE'S Greek restaurant at WetSide has reopened with a new owner, a new name and a new style.

Aquavue Cafe and Watersports operator Larry Burch has picked up on the vision of the late George Kotis, opening the doors and renaming the restaurant Vue.

“We had a soft opening last week to bed in the new staff and despite a complete lack of advertising, a number of people came through the doors,” Mr Burch said.

“George did a remarkable job in setting this restaurant up and it's in a superb location and it couldn't just be left closed.

“We will just have dinners from Wednesday to Sunday to start with and as of next week we will open for lunches.”

Mr Burch said the restaurant's style would be aligned to great steaks and fresh seafood.

“It's an exciting challenge for my family and we hope to have a long future at one of the best spots in the Bay.”
