LETTER: Our council has Fraser Coast region on track

JUST a quick note to all the voters of the Fraser Coast, if you haven't lived here for that long please ask a longer term resident of the area and you'll get a true picture of our present council.

I've been here for over 20 years and under previous councils watched as developers and businesses left in droves, the town plan destroyed, the shopping centre stalled to the point the owners went onto the local radio gave our council the finger and left.

This council led by Gerard O'Connell has turned it around.

We now have the developers back, sporting events putting us on the world stage, a budding aviation sector, motor sports centre approved, a team that thinks about the area's future.

I have seen more progress in the last three years than the previous 18, I have paid rates here those 20 years plus at least now I can see something for it.
