Rural firies urge landowners to get RFS permit to burn

THE Rural Fire Service is urging landowners on the Fraser Coast to clear their property of flammable material.

As the months get hotter the RFS is asking people to ensure their properties are cleared of dry matter.

There are currently no fire bans but a free permit to light a fire is required for any fire that exceeds two metres in any direction.

To obtain a permit visit ruralfire.qld.gov.au.
