Get cracking on Saturday to the Bauple Nut Bash

BAUPLE will light up on Saturday with what is locally known as the best fireworks and laser show on the Fraser Coast.

Entrants in the nut-cracking competition will have the chance to be named Bauple's best nut cracker and score $50 at the Bauple Nut Bash.

The annual event will also have a tug-of-war competition with the winners receiving $100.

There are old-fashioned kids' games including nut-and-spoon races, sack races, three-legged races as well as a jumping castle and the Apex Train.

This year the bash will have a display of historical motor bikes, cars and machines.

There will be loads of market stalls.

Brisbane musician Matt James will return to rock the event into the evening and there will be plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained.

There will also be food and drink stalls and a licensed bar but there will be no BYO.
