SERIAL KILLER: Cameron Wilson claps as his sentence is read out.

Giggling serial killer clapped in jail for 71 years

A SERIAL killer who raped, stoned, and burned one of his victims clapped and shouted "at least I'm still alive” as he was sentenced to 71 years in prison.

Cameron Wilson, 20, showed no remorse when sentenced for what State prosecutor Carine Teunissen said were 'cruel and gruesome' multiple murders in South Africa.

His final victim, Lekita Moore, 18, was found stabbed to death with 98 wounds.

Appearing in front of his victim's families at Western Cape High Court, Wilson slouched, smiled and giggled before Judge Chantel Fortuin handed him four life terms for the murders of Toyher Stober, Stacey Lee Mohale, Lekita Moore and for the rape of Dawney Davids.

Stacey Lee Mohale, who was 16 at the time of her death, was raped, stoned, and then set alight by Wilson.

He was also given 15 years for the murder of Alfonso van Rooyen, 15 years for the murder of Ernest Erasmus, 10 years for the murder of Roslyn Lakay, five years for possession of an unlicensed firearm, 10 years for attempted murder and conspiracy to commit a crime and six years for assault with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.

As the sentences were read out, Wilson rolled his eyes and laughed before clapping and saying loudly, "at least I'm still alive”.

Relatives of the victims shouted out "you will rot in hell” and "murderer”.

Wilson will be eligible for parole in 25 years.
