Girl airlifted from Fraser Island after tobogganing crash
AN 11-year-old girl has been airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital after she was injured in a sand tobogganing accident on Fraser Island.
The 11 year old was sand sliding with family and friends at Sandy Cape when she fell, suffering neck and back pain.
The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter's flight paramedic treated the injured girl for possible spinal injuries.
She was then airlifted to Hervey Bay Hospital at about 11:10am on Thursday in a stable condition.
