Gladstone business women join for night of networking
A NEW club that gives Gladstone women a chance to network is off to a flying start.
Thirty-five women attended the first Gladstone Women's Club's free networking event at Rocksalt recently.
Organiser Natasha Fee said the casual event allowed women to connect with other inspiring women in the Gladstone business community.
She said she had been pleasantly surprised by the number of women in business in a male-dominated town such as Gladstone.
"The reason for the event was to support, acknowledge, mentor and advocate for female business owners in the region," Ms Fee said.
"I don't think we realise just how many women own or manage businesses in this region.
"I work full-time as manager at Gladstone Women's Health Centre and also own and run two businesses.
"I'm also excited to hear about other successful women who work in their own businesses."
The club will meet every month. For more details phone Ms Fee on 4979 1456.
