Global link-up for digital art exhibition in Childers

MARYBOROUGH artist Trevor Spohr will use Skype and blogs to create a collaborative exhibition with American artists that will be shown on two continents.

He is among four artists from the Wide Bay and four from the United States who are part of an exciting new digital art project.

He will draw on his family's experiences of the Maryborough floods for inspiration.

The exhibition features a landscape theme, and Mr Spohr said his work was partially inspired by a story his father told him about losing a prized collection in the 1955 floods.

The joint exhibition will be launched simultaneously at Childers Art Space and the Las Cruces Gallery in New Mexico.
