GoPro and Macbook stolen from a campsite on Fraser Island

POLICE are reminding campers and holiday makers to ensure that you properly lock up and secure your personal belongings, even if you are camping in tents, caravans or holiday units.

A tourist camping Fraser Island recently reported a theft of an Apple Macbook Pro and a GoPro Hero 3+.

When they returned to their camp site they discovered an unknown person had unzipped their tent and stolen the property.

The tourist was camping in the K'Gari campground and the theft occurred between midday on July 31 and 4pm on August 2.

If you or someone you know is looking to purchase these types of electrical and portable items and the price seems too good to be true, chances are the items could be stolen.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
