Grab an unusual bargain at council auction in Maryborough

WANT a set of traffic lights?

How about your own parking meters?

All this and more will be on sale to the highest bidder at a council auction in Maryborough.

Some 176 surplus council items will be auctioned off at the Moreton St depot on Saturday, October 27.

Included in the items are traffic lights, parking meters, port-a-loos, tool boxes and desks, among many more options.

Unfortunately there are no jousting sticks or chicken coops, for the Kerriganesque bargain hunters out there.

A full list of sale items can be found on the council website under "public notices".
