Great time had at Fraser Coast's first Ability Ball
THE pictures of the happy faces and great dance moves of those captured at the Fraser Coast's first ever Ability Ball speak for themselves.
Ability Ball organiser, Trevor Sands from Community Lifestyle Support Inc, said more than 190 tickets were sold for the night, which was held earlier this month.
"The room was full of glitter and glamour and it was a great night for the community to come together," he said.
"Events like this showcase people's abilities and not their disabilities."
The do was held at the Hervey Bay RSL club and was attended by those wanting to have a great time.
Jason Harvey was named king of the Ability Ball and the queen was Tiegan Johnson, who both wore stunning attire.
Elvis impersonator Dean Vegas and X-Factor's Michaela Baranov provided the entertainment of the night and Fraser Coast Regional Council representatives including Mayor Gerard O'Connell and Councillor Robert Garland handed out four awards.
Trevor said he was hoping the event would become even more popular given time.
The next Ability Ball on the Fraser Coast is expected to be held at the end of July next year.
