Grievous bodily harm charge sent to district court

BLAKE Johnson Storch will have to stand trial for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm to a woman in Hervey Bay.

Storch appeared in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Thursday to face the charge, alleged to have occurred on March 31, 2012 in Pialba.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Nicole Kunkel presented seven statements and three exhibits including photos of the female victim and medical records.

Storch's legal representative agreed to have the case sent to the higher court without Magistrate Graham Hillan examining the evidence.

It was committed to Hervey Bay District Court.
