Guy McLean could be back on stage after wildcard win

SUSAN River's famous horseman and bush poet Guy McLean has been voted back in to Australia's Got Talent.

It was announced on Sunday night that Guy had won a 'wildcard' vote and was now one of six contestants to have another chance at making it to the show's grand final in March.

Guy and his stockhorse Showgirl auditioned for the program a week ago, but were told they would have to win the wildcard if they were to continue with the show.

The Fraser Coast and wider community got behind Guy, and gave him a chance to get back on the show.

On Monday morning, Guy posted on his Facebook page how grateful he was for the support from friends, family, fans and crew.

"Thanks so much to all of those who have supported us on our journey and most of all, thank you to my precious team of four for all that you mean to me and all that you gave under the bright lights of the big time Stage performance," Guy said.

The Nine Network show will announce which wildcard winner will head to the grand final next month.
