HUNDREDS of junior athletes could flood Wide Bay Gymnastics Club today.

That is the dream of head coach Jade Hodges, who will be one of at least six coaches and numerous volunteers at the club's Ribbon Carnival.

Maryborough Gymsports and Bundaberg's PCYC will join Wide Bay members for today's event.

"Most of them range from about four to 14 years of age,” Hodges said.

"Hopefully we'll have a few hundreds gymnasts.”

GymFun athletes will show off their skills in the first session, which runs from 8.45am to 10.20am.

Male gymnasts from Levels 1-3 will compete in the second session, along with female athletes in Levels 3-4.

Female gymnasts in Levels 1 and 2 will round out sessions three and four, with the event scheduled to finish at 3pm.

Hodges said the club would also run several raffles throughout the day.
