Hanging up saddles for the year

SADDLES and bridles have been put away in the tack shed one last time this year as members of the Biggenden Pony Club wind down for 2009.

Secretary Michelle Kinbacher said it was a big year for the club with about 90 members riding for the club and socially.

“Each riding member was presented with an award and any children attending three to six gymkhanas and over six gymkhanas received an award,” she said.

The Jensen family memorial trophy for most points during the year was won by Teagan Bechly, with more than 2000 points.

“This is the second time that she has won this award.”

The club also presented its instructors with long-sleeved shirts with their names sewn on, to say thank you for their hard work and dedication shown over the year.
