IN WHAT was a howling success, about 100 pooches and their favourite pals have gathered in a Maryborough park to support the RSPCA's Million Paws Walk.

They joined an estimated 17,000 people across the state who turned out for the fundraiser, which is held annually to raise money and awareness for animal care in Queensland.

Sarah Dalton and her friend Jade Doyle were at the event for the third year in a row.

Ms Dalton and Lizzie, her border collie-cattle dog, took out the musical dogs competition - a musical chairs-like event.
