Harris Scarfe is the latest addition to Stockland

POPULAR retail outlet Harris Scarfe will be one of the new stores opening at Stockland in Hervey Bay in a few months.

The department store, which offers homewares, manchester and clothing, will be the third of its kind in Queensland, with the two existing stores at Chermside and Morayfield.

Jessica Dunn, Harris Scarfe's communications manager, said the business was looking forward to new opportunities on the Fraser Coast.

She was sure the store would be popular in the region.

She said the focus of Harris Scarfe was the opportunity to buy high-quality brands for less.

"We make brands accessible," she said.

The store opens in August and will have a wide range of products, with everything from quilt covers and sheets to kitchen appliances, cutlery and cookbooks.

Mr Dunn said with Hervey Bay's warmer climate there would be an emphasis on summer clothing, which would give people more fashion options.
